Nightmare Before Christmas DVD Collection
This fantastic 2 Disc Ultra Collector” Edition is the third, and best release of the classic Disney movie Nightmare Before Christmas.
Though billed as a two-Disc set, this DVD Collectors’ edition actually has three Discs!
The third one contains the digital copy – An instruction sheet spelling out in clear steps how to download the file to an iPod or similar device.
A benchmark in stop-motion animation, this incredibly difficult-to-make film (24 individually posed frames were needed to produce ONE SECONDS’ worth of action) is a Masterpiece of Art Direction, set design, and good old-fashioned storytelling.
In the Blu-Ray Format you get to experience the amazing amount of detail that has been painstakingly built into this movie. The colors are more impressive and vivid than has ever been seen in Theaters.
The depth looks very much like the 3D film that was re-released last year.
The overall look, including color depth exceeds the 3D version.
This is a must own for collectors who want to show off there home theater.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is, in fact, a children’s story – about a group of harmless characters in a mythical place called Halloween town.
As such, it’s a dark comic take on all the claymation Christmas stories we get to hear year in and year out.
What makes this animation a classic is that it does not conform to mainstream animations and genres, the colors, themes, music and stop motion capture of the animation all add to the Nightmare Before Christmas’ allure.
The music is a story unto itself, you have to listen to the music to actually get the story behind the Nightmare before Christmas animation.
What’s amazing is that Tim Burton, like the late Andy Kaufman, actually loved that stuff – or at least the sense of enchantment. His twisted, gothic imagery seems at odds with such a conclusion – but looks can be deceiving. I’m convinced that Burton’s style is an attempt to use darkness to throw open a window.
Testimonial
This film is really timeless. Our 9 year old still watches it regularly and knows all the words. It was her favorite Disney film as a smaller kid. Thankfully, rather that listening to shrieking Dora and Barney, I was able to listen to this beautiful film over and over and over again.
